"Choosing Vida Fertility for my IVF treatment was the best decision I have made in my fertility journey. I am now halfway through my pregnancy, thanks to the incredible team at Vida. From our very first consultation with Dr. Katharina Spies, we knew right away that we wanted to entrust our goal of becoming parents at this clinic. Traveling from abroad (U.S.) for fertility treatment in Madrid presented a set of unique challenges, but all made worthwhile due to the exceptional care that we received from every visit at Vida. Navigating through IVF was an emotional experience, but the team at Vida made us feel comforted and supported every step of the way. We are so grateful that the results of our treatment have far exceeded our expectations. We received very personalized, detail-oriented care that larger clinics simply can’t match.

Dr. Spies is not only a phenomenal fertility expert but also a wonderfully sweet and kind person. She tailored my treatment to my needs and always find time to address all my concerns. She made us feel very excited and looked forward to each appointment. I also received outstanding care from Dr. Martha Zermiani, who performed my egg retrieval procedure, and Dr. Elena Santiago Romero, who performed my frozen embryo transfer. They are all extremely kind, professional, and supportive.

My patient care coordinator, Amaiur, is a true miracle worker. She has been by our side since day one, and through each appointment and follow-up. She is very lovely, attentive, energetic, and patient; we appreciate her very much. A special mention also goes to Saul, he is an exceptional professional who treated us with so much empathy, dedication, and kindness.

The clinic itself is beautiful and pleasant, and all costs were transparent and reasonable. I was particularly impressed with the medical facility, that a private room was provided for egg retrieval and embryo transfer procedures. We are deeply grateful to the entire Vida team for the highest quality of medical care that we received. We are very excited to welcoming our first baby early next year!"

"We are happy to testify to the success of the treatment after two previous failed ICSI cycles in England. We went with Dr. Elena Santiago & her team and we were handled with professionalism and extra care in our journey.

We were worried as my age (41) and my partner’s (38) poor sperm count would result in us never having a successful pregnancy but it looks like it’s possible.

Good points: you get to see the beautiful city of Madrid and eat the local cuisine. There is a bear hotel nearby I recommend staying in if flying in for treatment (the coffee is amazing). Staff is multilingual (Italian, English, french and of course Spanish!) Private rooms for rest post transfer. Good communication throughout. Costs were about £4k lower than the UK for a similar treatment. The 5 embryo guarantee left us secure that if the first transfer failed we could still try again and not pay a fresh fee.

Bad points: our NHS system is flawed and we struggled to get some of the tests required without going private and paying extortionate fees in the UK for simple blood tests. We also struggled to get the Spanish prescriptions honoured at the pharmacy - we managed to pay for a private prescription at our previous IVF clinic to prescribe us progesterone. I suggest for everyone doing this process to buy as much of the medicines as you can carry with you from Spain as the prices are about 1/3 and they are easier to come by than the UK.

“I did a lot of research when I was looking to freeze my eggs. Coming from the US, the prices are steep and the clinics can feel impersonal. I looked at several EU countries and decided on Vida Fertility Madrid after a quickly organized and great consultation, clear instructions, and no wait list. From the first appointment online to post-egg retrieval, I cannot express how amazing the entire staff was for me. I felt taken care of, proving was clear with absolutely no surprise costs, and the staff are empathic and knowledgeable. I went to Madrid and did this treatment alone with no partner or support person with me, but I didn’t feel alone because the staff is so welcoming and available for any questions or confusions. Being a woman run clinic, you can truly feel the difference! I completely recommend Vida Fertility Madrid and cannot thank them enough for their help and professionalism.”

"We are so disappointed about the quality in this clinic. They stressed us often instead of giving us comfort during the medical items. Mostly their communication is not clearly or structured and with much pressure, especially before the egg retrival it is not smoothly. Twice you had to sit on the street and wait.

Right now it does not feel like that it is a private clinic you pay for. Of course some things went also well and the medical knowledge is quite good in that clinic from the doctors and mostly empathetic but it does not help when the clinical manager ruins it with telling you mistakes do not happen when it happened. Also the medical team is friendly and dedicated but the coordinators give you also pressure or stress when the manager wants them to, so sad. We are not the only ones in this clinic where they made a mistake and they try to blame us for their mistake, so that we are silent and do not talk about it, instead of finding a solution, we guess. Now it is 9 months we are waiting for an appointment to solve it. The way to get a baby can be really hard, but it is even harder when the clinic is not totally supporting you when a mistake happenes.

Yeah we are patients in this clinic and yes we are so disappointed about the mistake culture in that clinic that we decided to write it here officially because they did not care for 9 months to talk about a solution seriously. During that time we felt uncomfortable during the process and that does not help making a baby and we think it is not a good standard. If they solve the problem with us together and support us we let you know. But right now the clinic is not able to find a possible appointment asap, that is really a disaster. And time is running!! Often they do no pick up the phone. They do not care so much as a private clinic should. In our country a public clinic even cares more and it is only a public one. The medical diagnosis is to collect embryos asap and they are blocking us in time and support. And all because of there unsolved mistake. Also it went more expensive because of their mistakes and they did not give us a refund what should be normal and clear for a professional management. So we will see if they solve the itmes asap in a good way so we can generate embryos and have a family peacefully."
