"After visiting two fertility clinics in London and having truly awful experiences with poor bedside manner, generic answers, no real investigation, and honestly no sense of hope, I arrived at IVI Alicante feeling completely hopeless.

That changed the moment I met Dr. Hector Izquierdo.

From my very first consultation, I felt an immediate sense of comfort, peace and happiness. It was instant and profound. For the first time in this journey, I did not feel rushed, dismissed, or like a number. I felt truly seen and understood. His warmth, positivity, and calm confidence made me feel that no matter what we need to do, we will get this done, and that he is genuinely fighting in my corner.

What is remarkable is that my friends have even commented on how my tone and energy changed after that first appointment. That is how powerful the shift was, from despair to real hope which has made this process pretty easy to be honest.

The entire team has been absolutely incredible, especially Jackie, Paula, and Davinia.

I need to say something specific about Jackie because she is truly exceptional. She is not only a fabulous nurse but someone who makes what can feel like an overwhelming and emotional process feel simple, manageable, and calm. Her explanations are clear, her communication is constant, and her reassurance is genuine. She has an incredible way of making you feel supported at every step, no matter how small the question. That level of care makes all the difference.

Their compassion, responsiveness, and organization have made what could have been a very stressful cross-border experience feel seamless. Even being London based and traveling back and forth to Spain has been incredibly easy.

Yes, the technology is excellent. The patient portal is fantastic. The logistics and medication coordination are smooth. I expected them to be the best (because they are leaders) so that was a given. But what truly sets this clinic apart is the bedside manner, the humanity, and the feeling that every single person genuinely cares about you and your outcome.

I am still in the middle of my journey and do not even have results yet, but I felt compelled to leave this review now because experiences like this deserve to be recognized. I have already recommended this clinic to others without hesitation.

If you are feeling dismissed, unheard, or hopeless elsewhere, this is the place that restores faith.

Thank you to Dr. Hector (you’ll always be my numero uno) and the entire IVI Alicante team for completely transforming my experience and reminding me that compassion in medicine still exists.

“Dr Muñoz and his team at IVI Alicante are doing an excellent job. On the basis of a clinical activity at the highest level with an astonishingly up-to-date and broad research activity, in a very well organised and modern appealing clinic in the beautiful and vibrant medieval City of Light by the sea, Alicante, Dr Muñoz leads his team, which also knows how to convince with very high social competence. On the long, often difficult, psychologically and physically very personal and highly emotional path to the fulfilment of one of the most central wishes and goals in life, he and his team always manage to accompany his patients in a very respectful, sensitive, understanding, caring, individual and supportive manner, so that they always feel very well informed and advised, safe and treated in the best possible way. "Don’t even waste your time with IVI.

I had enquired about ovarian rejuvenation and was called back (in the UK) by two different team members who could not coordinate with one another. I’m not even sure the first one understood English well.

I was invited for a consultation with the Alicante team but, hey, they don’t give out prices for ovarian rejuvenation because that’s the only treatment that’s “tailored” to you. Certainly I’m so gullible to go into a paid consultation without even a range of prices I may end up paying.

And, upon my insistence, they did not try to come up with a solution, or a range of prices, but simply said ok, goodbye. Certainly, they know they’ll make money out of the despair of other patients.

There are other clinics in Spain offering ovarian rejuvenation with very clear prices.

Give these people a WIDE BERTH."

"Update- They have replied that I am not a patient… which is ridiculous. Of course I am not a patient. It’s like you are a joke. Did you even read anything written below or from the other person that was inquiring about PRP treatment … You know exactly who I am. Just check the email replies from Azelais Esplá and Blanca González last week… They fully know who asked about PRP treatment and who they told they would only give basic public information too after I paid a fee of 90euro.

Wish I could leave negative stars…

Agreed-Don’t even waste your time with IVI.

I also inquired about the cost for prp ovarian treatment and was contacted by two different people Azelais Esplá and Blanca González

Both replied I had to first wire money-90€, give a Passport/identity card, all details of your personal medical history & marital status for a consultation with Alicante before I receive any information. First red flag 🚩

After asking multiple times for the basic cost information that should be available to the public… they continuously refused to give out prices for prp treatment quoting “protocol and legal reasons… and they must know who they are dealing with and, specially, the age of the patients, to make sure they are following the Spanish law about fertility treatments…” Then continued with “ they need to explain what would be the most appropriate treatments that are carried out as a couple.” My simple question - the cost for a PRP? IVI Alicante disregarded my question entirely to try to push the sale of other treatments when I just inquired specifically for PRP… which is for the ovaries so has no bearing on my marital status. Certainly I would never be so gullible to go into a paid consultation without receiving basic medical data or even a range of prices I may end up paying. Also the fact that a number of reputable clinics provide upfront the process & cost which includes the blood tests, if general anesthesia is required, explain the blood draw, centrifuge process, collect the platelet and injection into ovaries… 2nd 🚩

The decision to seek fertility advice is already a difficult place to be in and for a clinic to prey on people in that situation shows a lack of morals and ethical standards … All in order to enrich themselves more off of potential clients is disgusting.

Lastly Blanca González suggested that since I had not paid or send my private information- I should be glad that she even replied to my question by not answering stating it’s due to spanish law, policy & legal reason… which is insane to suggest a medical clinic did not need to be honest about what it will charge people.

Hopefully, Spain has real protocol that protects people from shady medical clinics. And, even after insisting, they still did not try to come up with a solution, or a range of prices, but simply said ok, we will cancel the consultation… Yes, the 90€ consultation that I never even asked for. Certainly, they know they’ll make money out of the despair of other patients. But I hope people do their research and see they have other options from clinics in Spain offering ovarian prp with very clear pricing.

Transparency, accountability and offering clear details to make the patient comfortable is key but in my experience, IVI Alicante is lacking this very important part of being a medical institution. Clinics set their prices but refusing to be upfront when the public has a right to decide when they are most likely being taken advantage of by hidden fees or overcharging. red flag🚩.

After also reading others with the same experience- spare me the fake generic reply that you are sorry for the dissatisfaction & want to hear more detail blah blah write to socialivi…because IVI Alicante would like to look more into the situation. Just stick to the story you gave when I tried to get clarification before.👎🏼"
